Worm farming for kids
Discover the wonderful world of worm composting!
Children will explore what earthworms can and can’t eat, their biology, and how a worm farm works. They’ll see live compost worms up close with a magnifying glass. Children will learn about different kinds of waste and what can go in a worm farm rather than to landfill. It’s a fun way to make rich fertilizer and mulch for your garden!
If you’re looking to revive or kickstart a worm farm at home, Little Sprouts can provide some tips (for adults too!)
Recommended for children 5-12 years old.
