Got some blunt secateurs or a rusty shovel hiding in the shed? Join our beginner-friendly garden tool maintenance workshop and learn how to keep your garden tools in top condition. Discover how to clean off rust easily, sharpen correctly, banish splinters and make your own natural wood polish from simple household ingredients. You’ll save money, reduce waste, and make your gardening easier and more enjoyable.
(Feel free to bring along a garden tool such as your secateurs, loppers or a hand tool like a spade or trowel. We’ll have materials on hand for you to work on them!

Please feel free to bring any surplus produce, seeds, cuttings, plants, gardening magazines etc to swap and share!
Please note that this is an event for Naarm/Melbourne gardeners only. If you live outside this area, please contact your council to find out what free sustainable gardening events are available locally.
If you have any access or support questions or requirements in order to participate fully (e.g. interpreter), please let us know at least two weeks prior to the event and we will be pleased to assist you. Photos will be taken at this event, but there is an option to opt out on the day.
